Hey everyone, I’m a little surprised to even be saying this, but I Love MY Snuggie! Though the commercials were a little funny and slightly cult-esque I had to try it out. When it first arrived upon tearing open the box I noticed a strange smell. It was most likely the smell of packaging, which was not pleasant, so you definitely want to make sure to wash it before using it. But after it was all clean, I was happily delighted at my new blanket with sleeves. I decided to get the nice pretty pink Snuggie.
It is soft, comfortable and quite large. Large enough for even me. Just about my entire life I have always had problems finding proper fitting clothes because I was so tall. Pants were always too short, sleeves on my shirts were to short, and most shirts just weren’t long enough at the waist. So not only were my sleeves long enough, but they even had extra length. The sleeves were also loose enough to be able to wear my Snuggie over a sweatshirt, or to even be able to put both arms in one sleeve. You know, like when a kid is cold or fiddling with their jacket, and they put their one arm up the end of the other sleeve. Kind of like ‘I Dream of Jeanne’ when she does her head nod. Well, when I am extra chilly, I tend to do that even as an adult.
Laying around my house I probably have about 4-5 throw blankets, and I have to say, none of them even compare to the coziness of my Snuggie. They cover only about half of my body, so either my arms and chest get covered or my legs and feet get covered. And if I have to use more than one blanket, I start to roast. So with my Snuggie, I stay at just the right temperature. Not too hot, and not too cold.
Just the other day I was outside sitting on my porch wearing my new Snuggie, with my legs resting on the balcony railing, I was actually just the right amount of warm. Normally, when I want to go outside and enjoy the sunset, I have to bundle up in a jacket, a blanket wrapped around my legs, and I had to put on my tallest slippers. The Snuggie was just long enough, that not only did it cover my toes, but it had enough added length to wrap around my toes even keeping my feet warm. I was a little skeptical about my Snuggie at first. They do look a little silly, I have to admit, but I love it none the less. Thinking back on the past few weeks, I actually don’t think I have gone a single day without using it.
Just when I thought I was happy as can be, I found the unopened booklight laying on my living room floor. I had totally forgotten about it and my baby girl had been playing with it. This is seriously the coolest booklight I have ever seen. It has a great clip that will even attach to my laptop, its really bright, and I love the way it opens itself. I don’t even know how to describe it, but I would buy more Snuggies just to get more booklights. I’m that serious about it. It has got to be the most high tech booklight I have ever seen. Now, when it’s getting late and I’m laying in bed typing my reviews, I don’t have to strain my eyes to see the keys on my laptop.
